Privacy Policy

Who we are

This privacy policy explains how X-Tape, operated by Les produits Xtape inc. (742 Industriel, Blainville (Québec), Canada), collects, uses, and protects personal information gathered through https://xtapeofficial.com. It applies to this website itself. When you buy a product through Amazon, Amazon’s own privacy policy applies to the information collected as part of that purchase.

Information we collect

We collect personal information in three ways, plus visit measurement if you accept it (see below):

• Bulk order requests. When you fill out the bulk order form on this site, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the products and quantities you are requesting, and your message. This information is sent by email, using the Resend email delivery service (a service provider based in the United States), to info@xtapeofficial.com, and it is kept in our company email inbox.
• Shopping cart. The contents of the shopping cart on this site are stored in your browser’s local storage, on your own device only. No cookie is used for the cart. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose “Order by email”: your email app then opens a message listing your cart, and it reaches us only if you send it. Nothing from the cart is ever sent to a third party.
• Hosting logs. This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard technical server logs (such as IP address, date, and page requested) as part of operating the site.

Visit measurement, only with your consent

This site can measure its visits with the in-house measurement tool of JNT Productions, the web agency that built and maintains it. The tool loads only after you click “Accept” in the banner; if you decline, nothing loads. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Once accepted, it records the page you view, the site you came from (on your first page only), the time you actively spend on the page, the number of clicks, and whether you click a phone number or an email link or send a form. It sets no cookie and stores no identifier on your device. To count unique visitors, the JNT Productions server computes a one-way, salted fingerprint from your IP address, your browser signature and this site’s domain; your IP address itself is not stored. This information is kept in the JNT Productions client portal, whose database is hosted by Neon, a service provider whose servers may be located outside Quebec. The tool does not run if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

This site uses no advertising tool, and we do not share this information with anyone for advertising purposes.

Orders placed on Amazon

When you buy a product on Amazon, Amazon collects and processes the personal information related to that order (payment, shipping address, and so on) under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this information ourselves.

How we use your information

We use the information collected through the bulk order form only to respond to your request and prepare a quote. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your rights

Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request that it be corrected, and to withdraw your consent to its use at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@xtapeofficial.com.
